HONG KONG Boku Films and Singapore's Media Development Authority will
Wednesday give a Hong Kong launch to new TV
series "Do not Disturb," by prolific movie helmer Kelvin Tong.
Series, shot in HD, is an improvisational drama set within the confines
of a low-budget hotel. Basic premise is the question as to whether sex is
assumed when a man and a woman take a room.
English-language series was conceived and is produced by veteran actress
Tan Kheng Hua in seven
episodes. Series will air of the Arts Central net from 2 April to late
May. (pictured)
"'Do not Disturb' is truly a sterling example of 'Made-by-Singapore'
content," Samantha Loh, the MDA's assistant director, broadcast and film
development, said. "This cutting-edge production is a sign of the continuing
development of Singapores media and TV
entertainment scene.
Series was unveiled in Singapore last week and is to be
given a boost at the MDA lunch Wednesday.
