BEIJING -- Zhang Yimou, China’s top helmer is still basking in the praise of his peers for his stunning Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games, but he is already thinking about his next project, expected to be a war movie, once the Paralympics are over in September, local media reported.
Beijing New Pictures said the next project would involve working with his long-term collaborator Zhang Weiping.Zhang has concentrated on the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games and has not made a movie for two years since “Curse of the Golden Flower”.
During those two years he has accumulated a number of projects, including one with Jackie Chan.
Nothing is expected to start before the end of the year, the Beijing News reported.
