SEOUL -- Korean helmer Hong Sang-soo has begun began lensing his ninth film, tentatively titled "Jal al-ji-do mot-ha-myun-seo" (Even Without Knowing Much).
Currently without an official English title, the high-def film has a budget of only $100,000.
Hong, who has a track record of high-profile festival runs with pics including "Turning Gate" and "Woman Is the Future of Man," is reteaming with many of his regular acting troupe: Kim Tae-woo ("Woman on the Beach"), Um Ji-won ("Tale of Cinema") and Go Hyun-jung ("Woman on the Beach").
Story, about an arts festival jury member and his encounters, will lense in large part during this month's fourth Jecheon Music and Film Festival and wrap by early September.
Pic is being produced by the Jeonwonsa shingle, but a local distributor and international sales agency have not yet been set.
