HONG KONG -- InterActiveCorp boss Barry Diller will join the speakers at this fall's Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Assn. of Asia convention and trade show, which runs Oct. 28-30.
Other additions include Peter Iacono, prexy and managing director of Blighty's ITV Worldwide; Steve Marcopoto, prexy and managing director of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific; Todd Miller, executive VP and managing director, Asia, Sony Pictures Television Intl.
Roma Khanna, prexy of global networks and digital initiatives at NBC Universal Intl., who had to scratch last year due to the Sparrowhawk Media acquisition is also confirmed. Previously announced, Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and prexy of Disney-ABC Television Group, is set as the keynote speaker (Daily Variety, June 17).
The Hong Kong event will shift to a new venue, the Casbaa Dome at the Pop TV Arena in the West Kowloon district.
Confab's theme is Subscribe to the Future -- All Eyes Are on Asia, with discussion topics including the future of pay TV advertising, feevee strategies in post-Olympic China, its regulation plus focuses on markets in India and South Korea.
