Singapore, Japan get CUTE over new media |

HONG KONG -- Japan's Keio U. and Singapore's National U. are setting up a joint interactive digital media research facility.
The Keio-NUS Connective Ubiquitous Technology for Embodiments (C.U.T.E.) Center will have a presence in Singapore and Japan and will focus on connected lifestyle media and interactive technologies.
Funding will come from Keio, NUS and Singapore's Interactive Digital Media Research and Development Program Office, which is hosted by the country's Media Development Authority.
The facility's 50-strong research team is expected to include Masa Inakage, an internationally renowned digital artist and creative director and producer of digital entertainment with credits including movie "Spawn."
