Fortissimo takes twirl with "Dancer" |

Hong Kong and Amsterdam-based sales agent Fortissimo Films has picked up international rights to helmer Guka Omarova’s “Native Dancer.”
Pic about a spiritual healer from Kazakhstan is produced by Sergei Bodrov from a script he wrote with Omarova. Pair worked together on Bodrov’s “Mongol.”
“Dancer” was co-produced and financed by Russia’s CTB Film, Kazakhstan’s National Studio Kazakhfilm, Germany’s Kinofabrika and France’s Les Petites Lumieres.
Fortissimo is handling all rights outside the CIS territories and expects the film to preem at a fall festival.
