NEW DELHI -- Leading Bollywood distributor Eros Intl. has struck a two-year deal with digital entertainment company Hungama Mobile for development of Eros' music content on mobile phones.

Hungama Mobile will repurpose Eros content into desktop wallpapers, ringtones, games and musicvideos and monetize content by distribution to handset manufacturers and mobile service providers such as Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, Airtel, Reliance, SingTel, Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile and MTN.

The exclusive output deal covers music from the upcoming "Aladin," "Toonpur ka Super Hero," "Kambakth Ishq" "Veer" and "Freeze."

Hungama Mobile has a leading place supplying Bollywood paraphernalia and claims a 70% share of that market through offshoots in 30 countries. Recently, it began to supply similar services to Paramount Pictures in India.

"We are confident of the quality content and innovative products that Hungama will provide to consumers. Through this association, we are looking to maximize the mobile distribution potential from our premium content. The deal allows us to achieve full visibility of our mobile syndication revenues for the next two years from our film slate," said Kumar Ahuja, Eros' senior VP of new media and international sales.
