"Clone Wars" to screen for Nippon fans |

TOKYO -- Star Wars Celebration Japan, a three-day event for Japanese "Star Wars" fans starting on July 19 at the Makuhari Messe event space in Tokyo, will preem footage from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," organizers have announced.
Japanese fans will be the first in the world to see clips from the new CG toon. produced by Lucasfilm Animation. Also, director Dave Filoni will fill in fans on the pic's production process in a talk with Japanese animator Atsushi Takeuchi, whose credits include "Ghost in the Shell" and "The Sky Crawlers."
Furthermore, fans will have a chance to glimpse an episode of the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" TV series that will air this fall in the US, as well as meet "Star Wars" series actors, including Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker, and Anthony Daniels, the original C-3PO.
"Star Wars: The Clone Wars." is skedded to open in the US on August 15 and in Japan on August 23, with Warner distribbing.
