HONG KONG -- Veteran Indian movie producer and director Yash Chopra will be presented with the Legion d’honneur, France’s highest civilian award.
Chopra, who heads Yash Raj Films, has made some 40 pics, including many of Indian cinema’s biggest romancers. His hits include “Kabhi Kabhie,” “Silsila” and, as producer, “Hum Tum” and the recent “Chak de! India.”
He will receive the award from French ambassador to India Jerome Bonnafont at a ceremony in New Delhi on July 5.
