STAR launches download-to-own service in India |

HONG KONG -- Star Internet launched digital entertainment store Indya.com on Thursday to offer popular Indian content.
Service
aimed largely at South Asian auds is available worldwide, with
broadband access in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Southeast Asia.
Content includes India's top show, "Kahaani ghar ghar kii," and "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge," from the Star net-work.
Users
can sample single episodes for free at the moment. Beyond that,
episodes start at 99¢, with bundles offered at spe-cial prices.
In
other India news, Walt Disney content is available to mobile phones
through a recent deal with Hutchison Essar, a Walt Disney rep confirmed.
