TOKYO -- "Tokyo Marble Chocolate," the directorial debut of Naoyoshi Shiotani, won the Grand Prize at the  12th Seoul Intl. Cartoon and Animation Festival, which unspooled 137 toons from May 21 to May 25.

The toon, a romantic comedy about two shy-but-smitten teens, is the 20th anniversary project of the Production I.G toon house. BMG Japan released "Tokyo Marble Chocolate" on DVD in Japan in December.

Shiotani has contributed to Production I.G projects in various capacities, including key animator on 2006 feature "Tekkon Kinkreet" and Ghost designer on the 2007 "Ghost Hound."
