Hubert Bals backs Asian projects |

BRUSSELS -- Twenty-six film projects share €385,000 ($595,000) in awards announced today by the Hubert Bals Fund, part of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Coin will go to helmers from 17 countries, mainly in Asia and Latin America.
Support for digital production goes to five helmers, including fest favorite Lav Diaz of the Philippines for "The Great Desaparecido." The line up of the IFFR’s Hubert Bals Fund Spring 2008 Selection Round in full:
