Al Jazeera extends reach in Philippines |

CANNES – Al Jazeera has struck deals with five cable
operators in the Philippines for its Al Jazeera English service.
Agreements
give it carriage on Global Destiny Cable, the 2nd largest cabler in the
Philippines, Royal Cablevision Corporation, Eaglevision and Ultravision Cable
TV and the simulcasting of the channel on the ABS-CBN News Channel.
Moves give it
access to 500,000 households.
