HONG KONG – Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom has scooped up more
than 300 hours of high definition programming from Granada International, the
content sales arm of U.K. commercial broadcaster ITV.
Shows
including dramas "My Boy Jack," "Murdoch Mysteries," "Durham
County" and "Ballet Shoes;" factual skeins "Planet Science"
and "Brainiac" and three series of "Agatha Christie’s Poirot,"
will be available as video-on-demand offerings on Chunghwa's Multimedia
On-Demand (MOD) IPTV-VoD service. MOD currently has 450,000 subscribers.
