SEOUL -- Korea's Jeonju Film Festival and Kazakhstan's Eurasia Film Festival have partnered in a deal that covers programming and promotion.

Both fests will recommend local films for each other's programs and retrospectives, and will invite guests from the other country to their fest every year. They also will develop projects expanding exchanges between film organizations, cinematheques and festivals.

Jeonju, Korea's number two fest after Pusan, is this year holding a sidebar of central Asian cinema which shows lost movies from five countries in the region, including four movies from Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan pic "Mongol" was nommed for the foreign film Oscar this year.
