CHINA – Beijing's Olympic organizers have given MTV Networks China landing rights into the Beijing Olympic Village at the August Games in the Chinese capital.

MTV China's 24-hour channel will go on air on 24 June 2008, broadcasting to thousands of viewers over the private Olympic CATV network to all of the Olympic-related competition venues and hotels, as well as the press center and media village.

Focus of the programming will be two skeins – "MTV Burr," which offer an entertainment guide to Beijing in 20 episodes, and "100 MTV Ways To Rock The Olympic Games," which is a nationwide contest for viewers to send in photos and videos which best signify "the rocking Olympic spirit."

Selected works will be shown on MTV China and MTV China's website
