HONG KONG -- Stephen Chow Sing-chi's latest film has had so many names that it is not easy to know if the latest is a working title or for real.

Anyway, "A Hope," aka "Long River 7," is now in post production with no release date set.

Funnyman Chow ("Kung Fu Hustle") stars in the pic, as well as produces and directs, with a bevy of new, young talent, said Alice Chow, production coordinator at Chow's Star Overseas Group. One of the new faces will be leading actress Kitty Zhang Yuqi from China.

Pic is a Hong Kong-China co-production with China Film Group. The budget and story line haven't been officially released, but it's widely expected to be a sci-fi pic inspired by China's Shenzhou manned space program.

SOG's Alice Chow also confirmed some of the many Internet rumors and said that her boss also is looking to make a dance-themed pic for teenagers. But it's early days. There isn't a production sked, cast isn't confirmed and the script is still being worked on, but the film will be made this year, she added.
