Gareri to join Imageworks in India |

LOS ANGELES -- Veteran visual effects producer Joe Gareri has signed on with the production management team at Sony Pictures Imageworks.
Gareri's
first assignment will be executive director of operations of SPI's new
satellite facility in Chennai. He will supervise staffing and oversee
the intergration of the new facility's work flow with SPI's other
offices, including its Culver City HQ.
Gareri will report to Imageworks EVP of production Jenny Fulle.
An
SPI spokesman said Gareri's move to India is not permanent and he will
rejoin the company's Culver City office at a date to be determined.
Gareri joins SPI from Pacific Title
and Art Studio, where he was sr. exec producer in charge of production.
His credits there include the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy.
