Chan, Zhang to duet for Olympic film |

BEIJING -- Jackie Chan and Zhang Ziyi have been enlisted to sing the theme song for "The One," a film about China's first Olympian, sprinter Liu Changchun, who represented China at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, despite the efforts of Japanese occupation forces in Manchuria to stop him.
Four top Chinese-speaking celebs -- Chan, Zhang, Wang Lee-Hom and Stefanie Sun -- will sing "Stand Up" on the pic's soundtrack, producer Wang Zhebin told the Beijing Times.
Movie is being made as a tribute to the 2008 Beijing Games, and each singer will represent a different Chinese group: Chan, Hong Kong; Wang, Taiwan; Zhang, the mainland; and Singaporean Sun repping overseas Chinese.
Liu Changchun was chosen alongside Yu Xiwei to represent China at the 1932 Games, after rumors that the Japanese puppet government in Manchuria was thinking of sending them to represent the occupying forces. The Japanese arrested Yu Xiwei to stop him leaving so Liu went alone.
Wang Pingjiu, a member of the cultural committee for the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, wrote the "Stand Up" lyrics. Music was composed by Shu Nan.
"The One" is in post-production and will be ready for release in May.
