KONG – Carlos Saura's "Fados" scored sales deals in North
America and China during the Hong Kong FilMart. Pic, the only Spanish movie
selected for the concurrent Hong Kong Int'l Film Festival, and was licensed to
New Yorker Films and HGC respectively. Deals were struck by sales agent Latido.
Company
also sold "Running With Arnold (Schwarzenegger)" to Shochiku for Japan,
Mongrel for Canada, after USA release by Red Envelope-Netflix, and to UTV for
India.
HGC also acquired adult animation "De Profundis" and comedy
hit ""The Last Penalty." HGC and Moser Baer acquired 'claymation'
kids TV series "Porque" for China and India respectively.
