STAR TV launches second Chinese channel |

HONG KONG – New Corp.'s STAR TV offshoot is launching new channel Star Chinese Movies 2, a net dedicated to Chinese-language pics from the 1970s-1990s.
Channel will bow Friday in Singapore on StarHub Digital Cable networks and on KyLinTV's IPTV platform in the U.S. Plans for rollout in other territories have not been revealed.
STAR TV is one of the largest owners of Asian film and TV content and Star Chinese has further output deals with rights owners including output deals with leading studios in Hong Kong, including Media Asia Films, Emperor Motion Pictures, JCE Movies, Universe International, Filmko, Jing's Production and China Star.
