TOKYO -- Media group GDH has inked with Shenzhen Leaguer DTV and its affiliate Ningbo Success Multi-Media Communication to set up a distrib in Shanghai, GDH announced Monday.
Tentatively called Leaguer Gonzo Culture & Entertainment Corp., the new company will distrib toons and other audio-visual content.
Initially, Leaguer Gonzo will supply toons from GDH's Gonzo to Ningbo Success's music and video distribution portal, which reaches 30 million broadband PC and mobile phone users.
Viewers will pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access. Eventually Leaguer Gonzo plans to expand into digital TV broadcasting, merchandising and toon production.
Launched by Tsinghua U., Leaguer DTV owns and operates the largest wireless digital TV platform in China, using its own unique broadcast standard.
