EMI Music Japan opens talent shop |

EMI Music Japan has launched talent management shop EMI Entertainment Japan, the company announced Thursday.
EMI
Entertainment will manage all aspects of its artists' careers,
including music publishing, merchandising, live concerts and TV
appearances. It also will scout out Internet and mobile opportunities.
The
first artists under management will be in the music biz, including
established EMI popsters Mio Isayama and Shione Yukawa and new talent
Kumami, skedded to debut in January. The talent shop plans to branch
out into other fields, including TV and sports celebs.
Also coming under EMI Entertainment's auspices is the A&R team Great Hunting, which EMI Music Japan launched in 2006.
EMI
Entertainment prexy will be Junya Nakasone, who set up an
artist-management team in EMI Music Japan in 2005. He reports to EMI
Music Japan prexy-CEO Shoji Doyama.
