TLA touched by "Bangkok Love Story" |

Specialty distributor TLA Releasing
has acquired all rights in North America and the U.K. to “Bangkok Love
Story,” a pacy actioner with a gay dimension. Rights were bought from
pic’s Thai producer and sales agent Sahamongkolfilm Int’l..
Helmed by Poj Arnon, pic sees a hitman duck out of a kill and instead rescue his target.
It stars Rattanaballang Tohssawat, Chaiwat Tongsaeng and “Ong Bak”‘s Suchao Pongwilai.
Film
bowed last month in Thailand, grossing $325,000, and next appears in
competition at the Brussels Int’l Film fest and the upcoming Hong Kong
Lesbian and Gay Film Festival .
TLA recently acquired similar
dual territory rights to Alex de la Iglesia’s marriage farce “Ferpect
Crime” and Emilio Martinez Lazaro’s lesnian sex comedy “The two
Sides of the bed.”
“Bangkok” will be released by TLA in Summer 2008.
