It's a pretty amazing feeling to be able to wake up and see a beautiful beach in front of your window. Okay, I will confess now: I am a Pusan virgin. I am still trying to venture beyond the two-block radius of my hotel. Considering my Korean is a bit touch-and-go, actually, make that non-existent, my first 24 hours in this seaside Korean town is scary and exciting all at once.

I was informed that the most exciting and the best parties take place in the tents along the beach at night. It doesn't take long for me to jump to a conclusion: "My god, this is just like Cannes! There's the glamor, the market, the seaside hotels and the endless parties!" This festival is certainly making my fun event list!

Although I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. In my short time in Pusan I have heard more than one person say that Pusan is essentially modeled after Cannes.

To be fair, I am not in the position to make a balanced comment because I have never been to Cannes. Maybe one day someone will be (in)sane enough to send me there?
