SEOUL -- The Pusan International Film Festival has announced a 275 film line up

Isao's "Into the Faraway Sky", James Lee's "Waiting for Love",
and Korean-American director Michael Kang's "West 32nd".
The
festival has also introduced a Gala Presentation section that this year will
present four films: Royston Tan's "881", Lee Myung-Se's "M", Hou
Hsiao-hsien's "Flight of the Red Balloon" and Im Kwon-taek's
"Beyond the Years".
Special
programs will be devoted to Malaysian cinema, Iranian director Dariush Mehrjui
(who also serves as jury president), classic Korean actor Kim Seung-ho and the
late Taiwanese director Edward Yang, who the festival selected as this year's
Asian Filmmaker of the Year.
Hand

Claude Lelouch, Edward Yang, and Kim Seung-ho.
Meanwhile,
the festival announced the launch of the Asia Pacific Actors Network, which
under the slogan "Beyond Asia," will attempt to create a support
network for the region's leading actors.
In
addition, in partnership with the Korean Film Archive, PIFF will launch the
Busan Asian Film Archive to focus on outstanding past and present works from
across Asia. With an initial 80 films obtained
this year, the archive aims to gather more than 5,000 titles.
As
