The Legend of Naresuan Part II will represent Thailand at the Oscar for best foreign language film.

"We believe that the movie has a superb production value that can show to the world," says Chaiwat Taweewongsaengthong, president of Federation of National Film Association of Thailand. "The version submitted to the Oscar will be the same version shown in Thailand".

Legend of Naresuan: Declaration in Independence is the second film in the planned trilogy based on the life of 16th century Siamese king. The movie is directed by Prince Chatreechalerm Yukol, and was a box office hit when it came out in February.
