HONG KONG -- Celestial Pictures has launched a mobile TV channel which it aims to roll out across Asia. Kung Fu TV makes its bow in Thailand this month.

Channel is a made - for - mobile platform showcasing original martial arts content derived from Celestial's 700-plus Shaw Bros. movie library. Segments from 30 seconds to three minutes include clips of fight sequences, music videos, trailers and video ringtones.

The channel is skedded to launch on Advanced Info Service (AIS), Thailand's mobile network system provider. Celestial expects to see channel next bow in Malaysia where group's parent company Astro All Asia Networks is based.
