Although he sometimes comes across as a Cantopop princeling, Louis Koo (ELECTION, TRIANGLE) is known to everyone who reads his blog as a total geek. Now, Hong Kong's Milk magazine has started publishing a Mainland edition and in its first issue they've done a STAR WARS themed photo shoot with Koo and exposed his geekiness for the world to see. Below, find pictures from his blog and random Louis Koo blog quotes confirming his nerd credentials:
"There's been continuous bizarre spiritual incidents in the last week. The one I'm very interested in is about the footprints of the secret Snowman on The Himalayas...."
"Why do mankind always go onto Moon or Mars? Could it be that we weren't originally from Planet Earth? Instead, from another planet and therefore, we continue to search for our root of origin?"
"I immediately thought of Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog video game and movie STUART LITTLE when I saw this news. My mind will be filled with more sci-fi concepts as I continue watching this... The news was on the U. S. scientists creating "Super Mouse" from gene conversion."
"The most important event this week was attending Ms. Miriam Yeung's concert as a guest...Besides this, I also quietly began my new Darth Vader series short clip."
"If possible, I wish I could turn into Darth Vader."
"Since I come online more often, I realize my typing speed has a double-digit increment!!"
"Have you eaten many sticky rice dumplings this week? Have you eaten too much? Some friends in Madam Koo's mailbox told me they accidentally put salt instead of sugar in their dumplings. It is so funny! I didn't expect that so many interesting things could happen when eating sticky rice dumplings." (Note: this is actually not very interesting at all.)
"I am sure my huge army of white storm troopers will come to visit me at my base on New year's day!"
"I do hope I can at least go see The Nightmare Before Christmas digital 3D version, I want to see it so bad!"
And he really lets the nerd flag fly when Milk magazine asks him to give his thoughts on the color black:
"Strictly speaking, black isn't a color as it's only a state where it absorbs all light and doesn't reflect off any ray of light in the spectrum."
You can see Louis playing with skeleton hands, and this is his new book which covers all his favorite superheroes and cartoon characters from his childhood.
And if you want to see the nerd force in full effect, go watch his Darth Vader short movies.
