That six month bathroom break we took may have allowed you to become more productive at work but it also deeply impacted your reservoir of gossip and we all know that gossip is one of the most important food groups. And so, like an overbearing mother bird, we now stick out beak down your gullet and regurgitate this stream of hot items right into your stomach, whether you like it or not. Swallow! Swallow! It's good for you.
Harry Potter's girlfriend, Cho Chang (Katie Leung), is from Hong Kong. And so, inevitably, she's in Leo Ku's new video.
Yao Ming got married in Shanghai and spent US$1580 per table on food at his wedding banquet. He also gave attending reporters pink teddy bears.
Cecilia Cheung and Nic Tse had their baby. Cecilia had a c-section (big surprise) and is now breast feeding even though it's painful. Expect minute-by-minute coverage of the baby's feeding from the ever-attentive Hong Kong press.
Perhaps inspired by his rewarding work on RUSH HOUR 3, Jackie Chan has said he will write, direct and star in ARMOR OF GOD 3 . Says executive director, Frankie Chan, "There won't be many special effects in the film, as Jackie is strong enough to do the action part himself...Actually he will challenge himself for something new." Something new? At this point in his career, watching Jackie go up the stairs on knees that have shattered a million times like fragile glass before collapsing into dust is pretty breathtaking. Have these people abducted Jackie and are they now forcing him to do stunts against his will? Can anyone save him from their clutches? Jackie, use your safeword!

Jackie Chan becomes deeply depressed while filming FORBIDDEN KINGDOM with Jet Li due to the prosthetic makeup he has to wear. He's contractually forbidden from showing pics of how he looks on his blog, but the descriptions make you want to shoot yourself.

D-WAR finally came out in Korea and some people loved it while others hated it. Either way, it grossed an astonishing US$20 million at the Korean box office in its first five days. It's been given a US release date of September 14 and it's been rated PG-13 for "intense scenes of violence and creature action" which sounds like the description of a pretty hot date. Here's the official US website complete with a nice-looking US trailer and the official English title, DRAGON WARS.
The Weinstein Company just picked up Vietnamese-American action flick, THE REBEL, but it looks like they got it for video release only (at least according to Variety). My question: since ImaginAsian (who is allied with TWC through Genius Distribution) just grossed over US$600,000 releasing Vietnamese flick JOURNEY FROM THE FALL with a tiny marketing budget, a handful of prints, and a campaign aimed strongly at the Vietnamese-American audience will TWC see some wisdom is allying with IA for a US theatrical release?
In a Self Magazine poll , 1000 Chinese women in 15 cities chose Andy Lau as their number one sperm donor. Takeshi Kaneshiro was number 3, Tony Leung and Louis Koo came in at 7 and 8 respectively. To Cecilia Cheung's regret, Nic Tse did not place in the top ten.
